Easterdene Funday a great success again. The Annual Easterdne Funday took place despite the pessimism about the weather and a huge crowd turned up to enjoy the traditional Day Out for all the family. The young people from the Wellingborough Concert Band got us off to a great start with some inspiring music as the stalls opened and the refreshments got under way. Much help was enlisted from the 1st Ventnor Guides who were our chosen charity for the day, and members of the Bonchurch Community Association as well as the usual extended families of our staff team. Of course, the highlight of the Day is always the massive Egg Hunt with over 3000 eggs distributed throughout the day. However well we think we have hidden the eggs, there are always the seasoned hunters who seem to sniff them out in no time, so later in the day our staff were particularly cunning in ensuring that the little ones got a fair share! The traditional egg painting, Easter Bonnet Parade and Egg and Spoon Races, plus lots more, ensured a full day out for everyone. Thanks to all our helpers and supporters yet again.
