PLAY AND DISCOVERY

The Coastal Discovery and Adventure Programme is aimed at Years 4 and 5 and gives each child a balanced mix of education, physical activity, social interaction and opportunities for creative play. They will discover much about themselves, their peers, the local environment and coastal processes including the beach and seashore.

PROGRAMME MODULES

  • Orientation to ensure the physical and emotional safety and welfare of each child and adult.
  • Personal Skills such as archery and orienteering to build self esteem and confidence.
  • A Discovery of the characteristics of the Seashore including Beach games and Rockpooling.
  • Coastal Erosion and management.
  • Themed Team Building Tasks to encourage children to work together and for each other.
  • An understanding of the geography of the local environment.
  • An exciting journey along the Downs for an amazing sense of Team Achievement.
